By purchasing or registering for any class, membership, subscription, product, or offer with The Maker Beehive, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Important Payment Terms
The Maker Bees is a subscription-based membership. Monthly and yearly membership payments recur automatically until you cancel.
All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes monthly payments, yearly payments, renewals, payments made in full, class purchases, membership payments, and subscription payments.
You may cancel your subscription at any time, but cancellation does not create a refund or prorated refund for any payment already made.
You are responsible for managing your subscription, including keeping your payment information current and cancelling before your next billing date if you do not wish to continue.
To cancel, you may cancel through your account/profile on the website, through the payment processor used at checkout when available, or by contacting us at [email protected] before your next billing date.
Membership Access
Membership access is for the individual purchaser only. You are purchasing a single-user license for your personal use.
Your membership may include access to classes, videos, printables, templates, instructions, digital resources, community spaces, swaps, and/or other membership materials.
Membership content, benefits, class schedules, community features, and included resources may change over time. The Maker Beehive reserves the right to update, replace, remove, or substitute advertised content with alternative content of equal or greater value without notice.
Cancellation Policy
There is no long-term commitment. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
Cancellation is effective immediately unless otherwise stated by The Maker Beehive. Once cancelled, you may lose access to the membership library, Facebook group, community spaces, bonus resources, archives, and any other materials included with your membership.
No refunds or prorated refunds will be issued when a membership is cancelled.
The Maker Beehive and its administrators reserve the right to remove a member and cancel membership access at any time if the member violates these Terms & Conditions, causes conflict, shares protected materials, behaves in a way deemed abusive or inappropriate, or disrupts the supportive environment of the community.
If a membership is removed or cancelled due to violation of these terms, all payments made up to the date of cancellation are forfeited.
Rejoining after cancellation or removal is at the discretion of The Maker Beehive.
Community Guidelines
You agree to follow these community ground rules:
- Stay open.
- Be positive.
- No negative critique of others.
- Be kind, respectful, and supportive.
- Do not share private membership materials outside the membership.
The Maker Beehive reserves the right to delete inappropriate comments, posts, or content in the Facebook community, website community, classroom spaces, or any other class-related community areas in order to maintain a supportive creative environment.
Use of Images and Shared Artwork
By submitting images, posting artwork, or sharing content in any class, membership, Facebook group, community area, or related space, you give The Maker Beehive permission to use those images for future class-related marketing, promotional, educational, or community purposes, online or offline.
This may include, but is not limited to, social media posts, emails, sales pages, class promotions, community highlights, and website content.
Email Communication
By purchasing or registering, you give permission for your email address to be added to the mailing lists of The Maker Beehive.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. However, if you are an active member or student, we may still send you important transactional or access-related emails connected to your purchase, class, subscription, or membership.
Proprietary Information and Member Content
The content in your member library, class library, course portal, Facebook group, and community spaces is private and proprietary.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Videos
- Replays
- Class lessons
- Printables
- Templates
- Instructions
- Digital downloads
- Ephemera
- Community posts
- Project demonstrations
- Private links
- Bonus materials
No video links, downloads, printables, templates, instructions, or class materials may be shared outside of the membership or class.
No project taught inside The Maker Beehive may be copied and taught outside of the membership, class, or community.
You may not copy, sell, distribute, reproduce, teach, upload, share, or otherwise provide The Maker Beehive content to anyone outside of your individual membership or class access.
Artwork created based on classes at The Maker Beehive may only be sold if the artwork is not a direct copy or close derivative of the original class sample or teaching project.
Any class or project taught based on another artist’s work may not be sold under any circumstance.
Any violation of these proprietary information rules may result in immediate cancellation of membership and forfeiture of any fees paid.
Member Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information, username, password, and account access.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your account and payment information current.
Community Participation and Swaps
The Maker Beehive may offer community activities such as swaps, group projects, exchanges, posts, comments, or other member-to-member activities.
Participation in swaps or community exchanges may involve sharing mailing addresses or communicating with other members. By choosing to participate, you understand that you are voluntarily sharing information as needed for that activity.
The Maker Beehive is not responsible for the actions, inactions, content, mailings, delays, disputes, or conduct of other members.
If you have a dispute with another member, you agree to release The Maker Beehive, Jennifer Chamberlin, administrators, employees, contractors, and representatives from any claims, demands, damages, or liability arising from that dispute.
Privacy
The Maker Beehive does not sell or rent member personal information to third parties.
Member information may be stored and processed using website platforms, payment processors, email providers, community platforms, and other business tools used to operate The Maker Beehive.
Content published or shared by members in class or community spaces may be used by The Maker Beehive for promotional, educational, or community purposes as described above.
Limitation of Liability
You agree that The Maker Beehive, Jennifer Chamberlin, administrators, employees, contractors, and representatives are not responsible for the content, actions, inactions, conduct, or behavior of other members.
You agree not to hold The Maker Beehive responsible for technical issues, platform outages, payment processor issues, email delivery issues, missed communications, member disputes, or failure to access materials due to user error, outdated account information, or failure to maintain current login or payment details.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Maker Beehive, Jennifer Chamberlin, administrators, employees, contractors, and representatives from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms & Conditions, misuse of membership materials, violation of proprietary content rules, violation of law, or violation of the rights of another person or business.
No Agency
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions creates an agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or other business relationship between you and The Maker Beehive.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions, your purchase, your membership, your subscription, or your access to The Maker Beehive materials shall first be addressed by contacting The Maker Beehive directly at [email protected].
The Maker Beehive reserves the right to resolve disputes in accordance with applicable law.
Agreement
By completing your purchase, registering for a class, selecting “I agree,” accessing the website, accessing the membership library, joining the community, or using any class or membership materials, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
