By registering for any classes with The Maker Beehive, please be aware you are agreeing to the following:

Terms & Conditions

You give permission for The Maker Beehive to use any images you submit, or share in the class community area, to be included in any future class-related marketing or promotional strategies, online or offline.

You agree to the following Ground Rules:

(i) Stay open

(ii) Be positive

(iii) No negative critique of others

You acknowledge The Maker Beehive reserves the right to delete any inappropriate comments in the Facebook community or any of the class-related community spaces, in order to provide and maintain a supportive classroom environment.

You confirm that you are purchasing a single license usage of this membership for your individual use only. 

You acknowledge that The Maker Beehive reserves the right to replace any advertised content with the alternative content of an equivalent value without notice.

You acknowledge that all sales are final and no refunds will be given before, during or after class.

All classes are priced in USD$. When paying, you will be charged in your local currency at the prevailing exchange rate.

You give permission for your email address to be added to the mailing lists of The Maker Beehive. You can unsubscribe at any time. 

Regarding Proprietary Information:

The content in your member library is considered private and for use and distribution only by Jennifer Chamberlin, and administrators of The Maker Beehive. No video links shall be shared outside of this membership, and no project taught inside this group shall be copied and taught outside of this group. 

In addition, all printables, including templates, instructions, and ephemera are not to be shared outside of this group.

Artwork created based off of classes at The Maker Beehive may only be sold if the artwork is not a direct copy or close derivative of the original art. Any classes that are taught based on another artist’s work shall not be sold under any circumstance. 

Any violation of the Proprietary Information rules will result in immediate cancellation of membership and forfeiture of any fees paid up to the date of cancellation.

 CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • There is no contract. You may cancel your subscription at any time. You can go directly to Paypal or to your profile on the website to cancel.
  • Please understand that cancellation works both ways. The Maker Beehive and the admins of the group reserve the right to remove a member and cancel a subscription at any time, just as a member has the right to cancel at anytime.
  • Please understand the cancellation is effective immediately. You will be removed from the Sisterhood as well as from any groups that were part of your free access. Rejoining will be at the discretion of The Maker Beehive admins, and only in exceptional circumstances will you be permitted to rejoin before the next open enrollment. 

The Maker Beehive Membership Agreement

This Membership Agreement (the Agreement) is effective March 01, 2024 by and between The Maker Beehive, hereinafter referred to as Community, accessed via www.themakerbeehive.com with a business address of P.O. Box 640, Milford, Ohio 45150, and all current and future members of The Maker Beehive hereinafter referred to as "Member".

By accessing, browsing or using the www.themakerbeehive.com website or by selecting I Accept during the membership registration, you represent that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Membership Agreement hereinafter referred to as Agreement.

Nature of the Service

The Community is a social network facilitating the exchange of information between people. This socialization shall include viewing the profile pages of other members, communicating with them and possibly even meeting them in person. The Community provides to its members benefits such as but not exclusive to: access to the membership areas of the website known as The Maker Beehive library and the modules associated with the Mixed Media Sisterhood of Maker Bees. The Community also organizes swaps whereas Members will send mail to each other. 

User Registration and Information

Member shall fill in the correct information requested in the registration form on the site. Member shall be required to promptly update the User Information on the site, including payment methods. Member shall select a username and password during the User Registration process. Member shall be responsible for: a) all use of the Site made by the Members username and password, and b) maintaining the confidentiality of the Members username and password.

Content

The Content includes videos, printables, messages and other materials posted to forums, groups, or other locations on the Site by the owner and members of the Community. Member is deemed to grant the Community the nonexclusive right to post, display, copy, and modify the Content in connection with the operation of the Site and the Community's business. Members may not copy, sell, or otherwise display content that is provided by the Community. Member is also deemed to authorize the Community to disclose his/her personal data when the Member includes such personal data in the content.

Release

If the Member has a dispute with one or more other Members, the Member shall release the Community (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

Privacy

Community shall not sell or rent Members personal information to third parties. Community shall store and process Members information on computers located in the United States that are protected by physical as well as technological security devices. However, the Community shall be permitted to access and modify Members information. Content published by any member may be used by Community for promotional purposes.

Indemnity

Member shall indemnify and hold the Community (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Member's breach of this Agreement, or Member's violation of any law or the rights of a third party. 

No Agency

No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchiser-franchisee relationship is intended or created by this Agreement.

Terminating Membership

Member may choose to leave the membership at any time. There will be no refunds provided. If a Member violates any rule set forth in this agreement, or otherwise causes conflict or displays behavior that is deemed as abusive or unacceptable by the Community, membership may be revoked and all payments forfeited. Member shall choose to retire or delete their published content from the Community's site and it shall be no longer available or visible to other visitors. Terms regarding the status of the uploaded content shall remain applicable when the Member chooses to terminate the membership. This policy applies regardless of status of payment, whether recurring or paid in full.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be construed under and governed in accordance with the laws of the United States.

Arbitration

Any dispute arising under this contract shall be resolved under the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Limitation of Liability 

Member shall not hold Community responsible for other Members' content, actions or inactions.
