Welcome to a creative experience that’s rooted in curiosity and driven by texture, grit, and discovery.

Rust-stained papers and textiles, burned edges, and foraged bits become the raw materials for something unexpected and deeply satisfying.

You’ll piece together beauty from the overlooked, the weathered, the wild—and it’ll feel a little bit like magic.

  • If you:

    • Light up at the idea of turning scraps, rusted bits, and castoffs into something wildly beautiful

    • Love layering textures like paper, textiles, dye, and ash to see what unexpected magic shows up

    • Find joy in thrifted treasures, curbside rescues, and things most people overlook

    • Want to expand your mixed media toolbox with techniques rooted in nature and experimentation

    • Crave the feel of a creative retreat—without leaving home—and the option to connect with other artists who get it

Then yes, you’re exactly where you belong.

Hi, I'm Jennifer!

I’m Jennifer — artist, instructor, and lifelong collector of scraps with potential. I work with paper, textiles, paint, and found bits to create layered, meaningful art that feels a little raw and a lot joyful. There’s something deeply satisfying about turning throwaway paper into something you want to keep forever.

Much of what we will do in this workshop is inspired by the natural world — not just in subject matter, but in how I work. I use foraged items as tools, experiment with rust and earth-based dyes, and find texture and beauty in the imperfect, weathered, and wild.

I love color. I love texture. And I especially love when things don’t match perfectly — because that’s where the real magic shows up.

I teach the kind of art that doesn’t rely on tidy lines or perfect outcomes — just texture, color, and curiosity. It’s a messy mix of paper and textiles, paint and scraps... and somehow it always turns into something beautiful. If that kind of creative freedom lights you up, you’ll feel right at home here.
